In addition to serving as President of the Bar, Dickson is the Managing Shareholder of the nationally-recognized Intellectual Property law firm of TraskBritt.  In his practice he is a trial lawyer who helps clients strategize and resolve patent, trademark, trade secret and other business disputes.  Dickson has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Utah College of Law teaching patent litigation and is frequently called upon to mediate or arbitrate difficult patent and other intellectual property disputes, with mediation training and certification from both Harvard Law School and WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization).  Dickson also chairs the Local Rules Committee for the United States District Court for the District of Utah.

Dickson has been honored for many years in Best Lawyers, Chambers USA, SuperLawyers, IP Stars and others, including by SuperLawyers as one of the Top 100 lawyers in the Mountain States, and by Best Lawyers as “Lawyer of the Year” in Salt Lake City for Intellectual Property Litigation and Trade Secrets Law.
