Utah State Bar Honors 33 Attorneys for 50 Years of Distinguished Legal Service

SALT LAKE CITY, June 25, 2025 – The Utah State Bar proudly announces the celebration of 33 attorneys who have reached an extraordinary milestone with 50 years of active licensure and service in the legal profession. These dedicated individuals will be formally recognized during a special ceremony at the Bar’s Annual Meeting, the evening of Thursday, June 26th, at This Is The Place Heritage Park.

Each honoree will receive a commemorative plaque in recognition of their five decades of service, leadership, and enduring impact on the legal landscape of Utah. This annual tradition not only honors personal achievement, but also reflects the strength, integrity, and continuity of the legal profession.

“These attorneys have spent a lifetime upholding the principles of justice, advocating for clients, mentoring future legal minds, and strengthening our communities,” said Elizabeth Wright, Executive Director of the Utah State Bar. “Their careers are testaments to the lasting value of dedication and ethical practice in law.”

Over the past 50 years, these attorneys have contributed to the legal profession and public good through:

  • Landmark Advocacy: Playing key roles in precedent-setting cases that have helped shape Utah law.
  • Mentorship and Education: Sharing their knowledge generously, guiding countless young lawyers with wisdom and integrity.
  • Community Engagement: Providing pro bono service and participating in civic and charitable efforts that have enhanced the quality of life in Utah.
  • Leadership: Serving in prominent positions across the legal community, including within the Bar, judiciary, academia, and various professional organizations.
