Meet Your Collegues, Improve Your Practice

Utah State Bar Annual Conventions and Fall Forum

In addition to numerous CLE events and luncheons held throughout the year the Utah State Bar provides three annual conventions. These programs are designed and driven by the members and sections of the Bar and are meant to provide opportunities to improve an attorney’s practice and meet with colleges from across the state.

2019 Spring Convention

Our annual gathering in St. George is complete. We convened with record attendance and the voices of a diverse and talented faculty, which we are grateful to say included many of our Utah judges. Thank you for joining us and if you are awaiting our next event…please stay tuned to this website as the 2019 Summer Convention registration will be forthcoming.

2019 Summer Convention

This year, we hosted our Annual Summer Convention in Park City. It was a homecoming of sorts, as the convention has largely been held in Sun Valley and out of state in other vacation spots.  We are so thrilled and grateful to share with you that we enjoy record attendance at this year’s conference, with more than 550 lawyers and judges joining our plenary and breakout sessions. We were honored to feature sessions on transactional work and on litigation, on well-being and on the future of our industry, and on criminal topics as well as civil practice. We featured two strong women in our keynote sessions – Antonia Hernandez, a noted civil rights advocate, and Dr. Astrid Tuminez, President of UVU and an expert on technology and education. Their sessions were well-attended and very well-received by our colleagues. We did videotape portions of the conference and will be offering soon the opportunity to view them online for self-study CLE credit. Again, we thank you for the support of our Summer Convention and look forward very much to seeing you at the Fall Forum in November!
