PROVO JUSTICE COURT PLANS MOVE
Provo, UT— The Provo City Justice Court is planning a move in order to accommodate redevelopment underway in downtown Provo. The court, which is currently housed at 310 West Center St., will be relocating to 75 East 1700 South, Ste. 100.
The move to the new site will begin on March 10 in order for the court to open for business at the new location on March 24. During this time, the public should go to the Provo City building at 351 West Center St. to take care of court business, such as to pay fines, schedule court dates, and speak to traffic court clerks. Traffic and parking tickets can also be paid online at
The Provo City Justice Court opened in July 2007 at which time the city decided to house the court in the former Wells Fargo Bank building at 310 West Center St. The building was leased to the justice court through 2013. The Provo Redevelopment Agency has since contracted with a Salt Lake developer to purchase and redevelop the property prompting the search for a new site for the justice court.
In determining where to relocate the justice court, it was decided that the property at 75 West 1700 South was the best fit for the city and residents, which included adequate parking.
