1. Meeting called to order
2. Minutes from February 10, 2000 meeting reviewed and approved (no
meeting was held in March of 2000)
3. Report from Wendy on CLE & Ski
a.approximately $13,075 in receipts, and estimate that net profit
was around $3,500 to $3,700--pretty much broke even or would have
lost money without sponsors (Keybank-$2,500; Joe Tesch-$500; Gordon
Strachan-$500; Deer Valley subsidies equal to about $1,000)
b.likely the last CLE & Ski at Deer Valley, and in the future
we should consider doing it at another resort (The Canyons was discussed
as an option) or moving it to the Summer
c.the event does take a lot of work for what the PC Bar gets back
from it
4. Treasurer's Report from Gary (attached)
5. $750 annual scholarship donation by PC Bar which was actually made
since the last meeting was ratified by all (Gary individually donated
an additional $250 to scholarship)
6. Report from Alex on "And Justice For All" fundraising
a. donations in any amount are being solicited from small firms and
individual attorneys, and if 200 lawyers donate (apparently regardless
of amount), then a substantial grant is available to the program
b. Alex will give Wendy the info, and Wendy will send a letter out
to all members requesting their support
7. Report from Christina on Tuesday Night Bar
a. going well, although not a lot of people attended last time
b. an individual from Aspen Villa (low income housing across from

instead of neighborhood presentation, invite neighbors to come out
in mass to next Tuesday Night Bar on May 2, 2000; may need to have
extra interpreters available

a. invitation to attend Annual Hispanic Outreach Night on Monday,
May 22, 2000
b. Christina will send invitation out to all members
9. Report from Christina on July 4 activities

do (float, group marching, etc.)

booth
10. Report from Greg Schmidt at request of Alex Natt on creation of
website
a. handouts from Mr. Schmidt are attached re: costs, etc.

domain name; then create website; ongoing maintenance, updating and
promoting
11. Discussion of website in general
a. discussion of links to individual attorney/firm sites, and possibly
charging for link
b. discussion of inclusion of all Summit and Wasatch County attorneys;
Summit, Wasatch and Morgan Counties are starting to combine and be
referred to as the "Wasatch Back" in a number of different
contexts
c. Christina will follow up with friend re: evaluation of Mr. Schmidt's
bid to see if it is competitive
12. Joe initiated a rousing round of applause of deep gratitude to
Wendy for the fabulous job she did in hosting and coordinating what
is likely to be her last CLE & Ski, and all joined in
13. Discussion of Capital Reef retreat
a. tentatively planning on August 10-12, 2000

a conference room, and a pool; nearby campground with orchards is
also available for anyone wanting to camp
c. put on some CLE; potentially have SUWA attorney conduct a hike
and discuss environmental law issues; Alex will follow up on CLE
d. discussion of PC Bar hosting retreat, and arranging CLE, etc.,
and individuals attending are responsible for own accommodations,
although Joe Tesch can arrange to have a group of rooms blocked out
at hotel, and arrange for conference room if necessary
14. Report from Joe on potential new "Wasatch Back" (Summit,
Wasatch & Morgan Counties) 2 judge district
a. Summit County Commissioners, Wasatch County Attorney, and Judge
Ray Harding, Sr. have all expressed support for the concept
