JUSTICE MICHAEL J. WILKINS

Justice Michael J. Wilkins was appointed to the Utah Supreme Court in January 2000 by Gov. Michael O. Leavitt. He was previously appointed to the Utah Court of Appeals in August 1994 and served there until his appointment to the Supreme Court. He is a past presiding judge of the Court of Appeals. Justice Wilkins received his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1977, and an LL.M. in 2001 from the University of Virginia Law School. From 1977 to 1994, he was engaged in private law practice in Salt Lake City. Currently, Justice Wilkins is a member of the Judicial Council. He was previously Chair of the Judicial Council’s standing committee on Technology.
