CLE Luncheon Policy |
| Policy Regarding
Payment of Tax Section Luncheon Fees (Effective January 1999) You may register to attend a Tax Section luncheon by responding to the RSVP request printed on the notice of the luncheon. The deadline for making or canceling registrations is 12:00 noon on the second business day before the luncheon. Anyone registered to attend the luncheon at the time of that deadline becomes responsible for payment of the luncheon fee regardless of whether they have been able to attend. The Section makes guaranteed reservations at the Alta Club based upon the number of responses received. The cost of each lunch at the Alta Club equals the amount charged for attendance. If someone has registered to attend a luncheon, but discovers that they are unable to attend after the deadline for canceling reservations has expired, they are welcome to send another person to attend in their place. In this event, the person attending should advise the attendant at the check-in table and identify the original registrant so that the substitution may be noted. On occasion, individuals who have not responded to the RSVP request will
register at the door. We will attempt to accommodate these individuals
if the Alta Club is able to provide additional lunches. If no additional
lunches are available other than those being held for absent registrants,
these lunches will be made available to individuals registering at the
door beginning 15 minutes after the announced program time. Absent registrants
remain responsible for payment of their luncheon fee regardless of whether
any individuals have registered at the door. |
