Tax Law Section

Welcome

The Utah State Bar Tax Section is comprised of members of the Utah State Bar who practice or are interested in tax-related law. The Section coordinates and sponsors continuing education luncheons on a monthly basis and break-out session meetings at the Annual and Semi-Annual meetings of the Utah Bar Association where prevalent topics are addressed by leading practitioners and professionals in the area of taxation. These luncheons and session meetings serve as a means for communicating the most recent developments and current issues in federal, state and local tax laws to Section members and other interested members of the Bar. The Section serves as liaison between the Bar and the Internal Revenue Service with respect to federal tax matters, as well as supports, improves and develops state laws relating to taxation.
