Law Students

Law students focused on intellectual property are welcome to become associate members. As associate members, you will receive notices regarding all events organized by the Intellectual Property Section of the Utah State Bar. In addition to learning more about intellectual property law, attending events organized by the Intellectual Property Section provides an opportunity to get acquainted with members of the Intellectual Property Section.

Law students in Utah also have an opportunity to interact with members of the Intellectual Property Section via participation in the moot court competitions focused on intellectual property law. The Intellectual Property Section of the Utah State Bar encourages law students in Utah to participate in the IP moot court programs at their respective schools. Law students are also encouraged to enter the various IP writing competitions.

IP-focused law students can also benefit from joining the Student Intellectual Property Law Association (SIPLA) at their law school. The SIPLA websites are: http://www.law2.byu.edu/organizations/sipla/ for the J. Reuben Clark Law School and www.utah.edu/sipla for the S.J. Quinney College of Law.
