George C. Elliott, Director of Technology Center 1600 |
| George C. Elliott joined
the USPTO in 1989 as an examiner in the original Biotechnology examining
group. In May of 2005 he was appointed as a director in Technology Center
1600, which examines biotechnology, organic chemistry and pharmaceuticals.
During his career at the USPTO he has been an examiner, an Art Unit supervisor,
and the director of the Office of Patent Quality Assurance.
Dr. Elliott received his B.A. in biology from the University of California
at San Diego and his Ph.D. in biology from the University of Utah. Prior
to joining the USPTO, he did post-doctoral research at Cambridge University
and the University of California, Berkeley. |
