	Anthony C. Caputa joined the USPTO in 1992 and was a Supervisory Patent Examiner from 1998 to 2005, and currently is the Quality Lead in the Office of Patent Quality Assurance. He has a B.S. in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Microbiology. Dr. Caputa did post doctoral research at Lederle Laboratories, American Cyanamid in the field of bacterial vaccines. Art Unit 1646 specializes in receptors, cytokines, recombinant hormones and neuroimmunology.
