COURT- QUALIFIED MEDIATION TRAINING PACKAGE FOR DISPUTE RESOLUTION SECTION MEMBERS
Utah Dispute Resolution (UDR), in partnership with the Dispute Resolution Section of the Utah State Bar, would like to offer Section members a special opportunity to participate in mediation training. The package below is designed to meet the qualification for membership as a Utah court-qualified mediator in 2012 and maintain that qualification through 2013.
Court-approved 40-Hour Basic Mediation Training
Where: Utah Law and Justice Center
645 S. 200 East , Salt Lake City, UT
When: September 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18, 2012 (8:00-5:00)
Fee: $1,050 ($950 early bird rate extended for DR Section members through 9/1/12)*
CLE: $50 (36 hours of CLE, includes 2 hours of ethics and 1 hour of professionalism and civility)
20 Hour Practicum-
This practicum meets the 20 hour experiential learning component for court roster qualification
When and Where: Personally designed with a UDR staff member
Fee: Waived with the 40-Hour Basic Mediation Training (a $375 value)
One Day Basic Mediation Refresher Training:
Where: Utah Law and Justice Center

When: TBD 2013
Fee: $250 ($99 rate extended to DR Section members who register for the September 2012 40-Hour Basic Mediation Training)**
CLE: $15 (7.5 hours of CLE, includes 2 hours of ethics)
Utah Dispute Resolution (UDR) is a private, 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing mediation services and training on conflict resolution. Participation in UDR trainings ensures UDR receives the financial support to provide mediation and conflict resolution services to residents of Utah with financial need. Customized training is available.
*Must be registered and paid in full by September 1, 2012.

November 8-9 Fall Forum
The DR Section breakout session will feature Michele Straube. Michele is the director of the newly-created Environmental Dispute Resolution Program at the Wallace Stegner Center at the University of Utah. Michele’s not-to-be-missed presentation is on the topic of multi-party dispute resolution.
