Services and programs
Consumer Assistance Program
The Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) is unique among the Utah State Bar programs in that it provides fairly quick and non-invasive assistance to both consumers and attorneys involved in minor conflict with each other. The CAP is designed to help the public resolve conflicts they have with their attorneys that do not rise to the level of an ethical complaint. More>>
Fee Dispute Resolution Service -The Utah State Bar maintains a Fee Arbitration Committee for the purpose of providing a procedure to arbitrate fee disputes between clients and their attorneys practicing in the State of Utah. Providing dispute resolution concerning fees between clients and their Utah attorneys.
Pro Bono Program
The goal of the Pro Bono Project is to recruit, train, retain and reward attorneys for their pro bono efforts. The Utah State Bar encourages Utah attorneys to support civil legal services organizations and provide pro bono representation as part of their professional responsibility to provide legal services to those unable to pay.
The Utah State Bar’s Pro Bono Project does not place cases for individuals. The Utah State Bar does offer guidance to individuals seeking legal assistance. More>>
