Art and the Law Project

The Salt Lake County Bar’s annual Art and the Law Award recipients will be honored at the Young Lawyers Division’s Law Day Luncheon on Law Day, this Wednesday at noon, at Little America.  This annual contest provides a wonderful opportunity for young people to learn about our legal system as they depict the 2013 Law Day theme, “Realizing the Dream: Equality for All,” in art.  Participation among local schools remains near an all-time high, and Third District Court judges demonstrated great enthusiasm for judging the entries.  Judges judging were Elizabeth A. Hruby-Mills, Royal I. Hansen, L.A. Dever, Christine S. Decker, and Vernice S. Trease.  The artwork is on display in the rotunda of the Matheson Courthouse.
