Richard Tanner has had a private practice of law with James Tanner since May, 2006. He represents clients in divorce, paternity, adoption, and guardianship. He represents clients in the related issues of custody, visitation, child support, alimony, and other family law matters. His practice includes drafting, advice, and representation related to wills, contracts, real estate and other civil and general practice matters. He co-counsels employment cases with James Tanner and he represents clients in selected criminal defense cases. Prior to his admission to the bar, Richard served as a law clerk with his firm from 1999 until 2003.

Richard received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Brigham Young University, 2002. He was awarded a Juris Doctorate degree from Washburn School of Law, Washburn University, in December, 2005. He was licensed to practice in Utah in May, 2006.
