Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What type of law do you practice?
Given my extensive background, I have the qualifications to do personal
injuries (i.e. employment, motor-vehicle, slip and falls, dog bites),
employment issues, contracts, business planning and occasionally divorces
or child support modifications.
In addition, I represent physicians, nurses and other health care
professionals in licensing and/or disciplinary actions with state licensing
boards or hospitals.
2. How much do you charge?
The initial consultation is always free. At that time, I will listen
to the facts of your case and we can discuss various fee agreements
including contingency agreements; in other words, if you don’t
get paid, I don’t get paid. Often these agreements are used in
personal injury cases.
Other cases, I may require a reasonable hourly fee or offer a simple
flat rate for specific services.
3. What is your viewpoint about the attorney-client relationship?
As your attorney, I am your advocate and you are paying me to represent
you in legal matters that may be overwhelming for you. Perhaps, you
have been severely injured or you are facing a divorce, an employment
issue, or the loss of a livelihood.
Consequently, your concerns are important to me as your legal counsel.
I will return your telephone calls, answer your emails and welcome you
into the office when you have questions or concerns. I will schedule
weekend and evening appointments if necessary.
Your case, whether it is big or small, will be prepared with the highest
degree of skill and diligence. I am ready, willing and able to provide
the skills, expertise, resources and determination necessary to effectively
represent you.
