Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect if I engage your services?
You will receive knowledgeable and caring, yet aggressive, representation. You can expect me to answer your questions in a timely manner and to the best of my ability, to communicate openly and honestly with you, and to keep you informed throughout the process.

What are some common types of medical malpractice claims?
Medical malpractice can result in many different types of injuries. Of course, not all injuries occurring in a health care setting are the result of medical malpractice. There are, however, some common claims that arise far too often and include: birth injuries due to poor obstetric practice, a delay in diagnosing serious conditions such as cancer, errors in prescribing or dispensing medications, decubitus ulcers (bed sores), retained objects, surgical errors, failure to diagnose a developing heart attack or stroke, and many other injuries.

What do you charge for your services?
I handle nearly all injury cases on a contingency fee basis. This means you pay no attorney fees unless you make a recovery on your case. Fees are typically 1/3 of any recovery obtained.

How do I get started?
The first step is to call (801) 277-4339 or visit my office. I, and sometimes another attorney, will meet with you for free. I will carefully evaluate your case and often consult with medical experts. If I feel your case is viable, and you feel comfortable with the relationship, I will require a written fee agreement to be signed by you. This agreement will outline the terms of my representation.
