President Elect and Bar Commission Election Results

Congratulations to Curtis M Jensen on his election as President-elect of the Bar. He will serve as President-elect for the
2012-2013 year and then become President for 2013-2014. Congratulations also go to Angelina Tsu and Jim Gilson who
were elected from a group of very qualified commission candidates to fill the two vacant seats in the 3rd Division. Thanks goes
to Tom Seiler and Michael Leavitt, who ran unopposed in the Fourth and Fifth Divisions respectively, for their continued
service. Sincere appreciation goes to Grace Acosta, Christian Clinger, Susanne Gustin, and Benson Hathaway for their
great campaigns and thoughtful involvement in the Bar and the profession.

The Utah State Bar uses electronic balloting to complete the annual election process.  Our third party provider, ElectionsOnline, will send a ballot email to your address of record on April 1st.  Please check the Bar’s website at http://www.utahbar.org/forms/members_directory_search.html to confirm the email information you have on file.  You may update your email address information by using your Utah State Bar login at http://www.myutahbar.org.  (If you do not have your login information please contact onlineservices@utahbar.org.)  Take a moment now and set any spam filtering technology on your email to allow email from www.electionsonline.us.  Online balloting will begin April 1 and conclude April 15, 2012.

If you do not receive a ballot email, please take the following steps:

  • Check your spam filter for the ballot email.  If the email is not there,
  • go to www.electionsonline.us/elections.login.cfm and enter your email address in the appropriate box.  If your email address is recognized, a new ballot will be sent.  If your email address is not recognized, please contact onlineservices@utahbar.org to confirm eligibility and receive a ballot email.

Upon request, the Bar will provide a traditional paper ballot by contacting Christy Abad at adminasst@utahbar.org.
