YLD/Paralegal Division - Wills for Heroes:
This year, the ABA YLD is partnering with the Wills for Heroes Foundation, a not-for-profit organization providing basic estate planning services to emergency first responders free of charge.

How it works: Generally, emergency first responders complete an estate planning questionnaire prior to arriving at a "Wills for Heroes" event. Once onsite, participants are assigned to a volunteer attorney licensed in the state who examines the questionnaire and inputs the information into a laptop preloaded with the appropriate software. The result includes a basic will, formally signed and finalized by a notary, before the participant leaves the site. All services are provided free of charge.

The Utah Young Lawyers Division will be implementing the "Wills for Heroes" program in Utah at the Spring Convention in St. George. The YLD is currently working on the estate planning templates and documents. The YLS is partnering with the Paralegal Division to provide notary public services at the event to provide full services for our Utah first responders.

Golf Tournament: 1:30 p.m./shotgun start
The format is a four person scramble (1 low ball) for women, men and couples, limited to the first 144 players. The cost, $78.00, includes green fees and cart. Please provide foursome information in the appropriate section of the attached Registration Form.
