Commissioner Anthony Ferdon, Third District Juvenile Court

Commissioner Anthony Ferdon graduated from Gonzaga University with a bachelors degree in psychology. After several years of working with special needs children, he got a Masters of Science in Special Education. As a special educator, his specialty was in working with children who had learning disabilities combined with behavior disorders. He has worked with these children in the Bronx, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. After eight years of working with these children in a variety of settings, Commissioner Ferdon attended the University of Utah School of
Law. Upon graduation he served as a law clerk for Judge Jim Davis on the Utah Court of Appeals. He then became a guardian ad litem for the Utah Office of the Guardian ad Litem. There he represented children in a variety of cases both in juvenile and district courts. In December of 2006 he was appointed commissioner for the Third District Juvenile Court where he currently handles a large caseload of juvenile delinquency cases. Most importantly, he is the father of 2 great boys.
