Robert S. Yeates, Executive Director of Comm'n of Criminal and Juvenile Justice

Beginning of 2007, Robert S. Yeates moved from head of Utah Sentencing Commission to Exec Dir of Comm'n of Criminal and Juvenile Justice. Before those two positions, Robert S. Yeates was appointed to the Third District Juvenile Court in November 1995, where he served for a few years. Judge Yeates received a master's degree in social work in 1972 and his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1980. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Yeates was in private practice, worked as a prosecutor with the Salt Lake County Attorney's Office and served as a Division Chief with the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office. Judge Yeates presently serves as a member of the Utah State Sentencing Commission.
