Bio
Event Description:
Cross-examination in civil and criminal trials is a system, not a set of random techniques. The system is based not on legal concepts but on interdisciplinary principles, and is built with mutually supportive tools designed to always advance the cross-examiner's theory of the case. This lecture will teach you these tools, as well as provide an analysis of the effects of neuroscience, psychology, and linguistics on witnesses. You will learn secrets to controlling questioning and never again fear that a witness will get away from you on cross.
Event Agenda:
Constructive Cross – A New Vision of Cross
The Only Three Rules of Cross
Chapter Method of Cross
Looping, Double Looping, and Spontaneous Looping
20 Techniques to Control the Runaway Witness
$90 advanced registration, $125 at the door
Proceeds will benefit the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center, a non-profit organization working to correct and prevent the conviction of innocent people in Utah.
