Dear UMBA Members,
I have received a letter from the Utah Supreme Court which details the fact that, as of July 1, 2009, court reporters will no longer be employed with the Utah State Courts to make verbatim records of cout proceedings. Instead, court proceedings will be recorded electronically. All requests for official transcripts may be ordered and processed on-line at www.utcourts.gov. Transcripts that are prepared outside of the process described in the letter will not be considered official and may not be used for court purposes.
