College Scholarships From University Neighborhood Partners

UNIVERSITY NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERS SCHOLARSHIPS

Three $3,000.00 scholarships will be awarded for the 2009 academic year and may be used without restriction for educational expenses. Each will be provided in one installment at the beginning of the academic year.

The Meritus I Scholarship

The Meritus II Scholarship

Those eligible to apply for a scholarship must be high school seniors or students with no more than one year of post-secondary training/education. Application forms may be obtained at University Neighborhood Partners, 1060 South 900 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84104. All applications must include the indicated attachments (see below) and should be mailed or delivered to University Neighborhood Partners. Applications will then be forwarded to the Selection Committee.

The following criteria will be used to select scholarship recipients:

1. Involvement in University Neighborhood Partners and commitment to the goals of the organization;

2. The way in which this support will help to realize potential for future success;


3. Statement of financial need; and


4. Residence in incorporated Salt Lake City’s west side.


To be considered, all applications must be received no later than April 3, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. Please contact the UNP office for more details. Students wishing help or clarification in filling out the application form are advised to call the UNP office at 972-2863. Applicants may also be eligible for federal financial aid.
