On October 11, 2000 The Bar Commission presented the Distinguished Service Award to Frank Carney. This award was given in recognition of his tireless and successful efforts
to produce high-caliber instruction in trial skills through the Litigation Section Trial Academy, his consistently excellent and pithy “Practice Pointers” in the Utah Bar Journal, his
involvement in the popular Evening With the District Court Judges, his participation in Annual and Mid-Year Conventions, his thoughtful presentations for NLCLE, and everything else he
does for the Bar and the legal profession.
